Health Secure Solutions

Local companies are revolutionizing cybersecurity for medical stakeholders with a tailored service package

Cyber-attacks occur regularly in Switzerland, affecting the functioning of health centers and threatening the integrity of medical data and thus the safety of patients.

The launch of "Health Secure Solutions", consisting of a range of innovative cybersecurity services and solutions developed in collaboration with leading local companies, aims to counter this growing threat.

Heatlh Secure Solutions – initiated by HIN, a leading secure communications company for the healthcare industry and delivered in partnership with Syrma, a digital health expert – is built on an ecosystem that includes companies such as Assymba, ELCASecurity, NetManage and SecureMind. These companies operate in the healthcare sector and have state-of-the-art expertise in governance, privacy, and cybersecurity.

Some figures on the vulnerability of the healthcare system in Switzerland:

  • 92% of healthcare organizations have experienced at least one cyberattack in the last 12 months
  • 70% of facilities affected by an attack reported an interruption in patient care
  • More than 40 critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Swiss hospital information systems (source: dcod.ch, October 2024 and NTC, January 2025 for the last point)

Together, these cybersecurity experts offer a wide range of services, including:

  • "Tailor-made" solutions and services for healthcare professionals designed to meet the FMH's eleven cybersecurity recommendations to ensure the security of data and patient care. These innovative solutions are adapted to the operation of the health centers at a reasonable cost.
  • From user awareness to cybersecurity best practices. Various formulas are offered, such as a "serious game" that uses fun elements and scenarios to allow doctors and medical assistants to better remember the behaviors to protect patient data.
  • IT audits and compliance with the new Data Protection Law, which allow health professionals to choose the most appropriate means of protection for their structure, based on a pragmatic inventory and a self-positioning questionnaire.
  • Cyber monitoring and protection tools, including computer network monitoring, are offered to detect any intrusion attempt and prevent risks before they occur, providing optimal and affordable security.

The mission of this initiative is to relieve healthcare professionals of cybersecurity concerns so they can focus on patient care. By entrusting data security to the most advanced experts, healthcare professionals can carry out their work with peace of mind.
